Puppy Raisers

đŸŸ Puppy Raisers: Help Raise a Future Service Dog!
Becoming a Puppy Raiser for Rocky Mountain Service Dogs (RMSD) is a rewarding way to help change lives! Puppy Raisers provide a loving home and early training for a service dog in training from 8 weeks to 18 months old. You’ll help socialize the puppy, teach basic obedience, and prepare them for their future role as a service dog.
💙 What You’ll Do:
✅ Provide a safe and loving home
✅ Teach basic obedience and house manners
✅ Attend RMSD-sponsored training sessions
✅ Expose the puppy to various environments and experiences
✅ Work closely with our training team for support and guidance
💙 What We Provide:
đŸŸ A rewarding experience knowing you’re changing lives

Fosters

🏡 Foster Homes
Not ready for a long-term commitment? Our short-term fosters care for service dogs in training when their raisers are traveling or between training phases. This is a great way to support a life-changing mission without a full-time puppy commitment!
✅ Provide a safe, loving home for short-term
✅ Reinforce training and socialization
✅ Help service dogs adjust to new environments

Training Center Volunteers

Not able to foster or raise a puppy but still want to help? Become a Center Volunteer! RMSD relies on passionate volunteers to assist with dog care, training support, and behind-the-scenes operations.
💙 Volunteer Opportunities Include:
✅ Assisting with training sessions and socialization
✅ Helping maintain the training center
✅ Supporting fundraising and community events
✅ Administrative tasks to keep RMSD running smoothly
Volunteering at RMSD is a fun, hands-on way to support our service dogs and their future partners. No experience needed—just a passion for helping!

We are a small nonprofit organization that trains service dogs specializing in diabetic alert, cardiac alert, autism assistance, PTSD, and physical assistance.
